2023 to see more cyberattacks as compared to 2022: Report

Ransomware extortion is also said to rise in the year and hackers will focus on data wiping and exfiltration detection. According to the report by Check Point Research (CPR), the Threat Intelligence arm of Check Point Software Technologies, "Ransomware operations are becoming more challenging to attribute and track, and existing protection mechanisms that are based on detecting encryption activity may become less effective."
