Zomato issues clarification on Blinkit delivery staff strike

Zomato has responded to the protest by its delivery staff, who disrupted Blinkit's services, by issuing a clarification to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Reports indicate that Blinkit workers went on strike to demand a rollback of the revised payout structure, which is affecting their earnings. However, Zomato argued that such changes are carried out periodically to address delivery partners' needs and prevent fraudulent activities. Moreover, the company had to close some stores temporarily to ensure employee and delivery partner safety. ICICI Securities estimated that Zomato has already lost approximately 1% of its revenue from Blinkit.
