Joan Burstein, London Retail Trailblazer, Designer Champion, Dies at 100

Burstein, founder of luxury London retailer Browns, who promoted John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan when they were fresh out of fashion school, and who introduced a slew of international brands to the U.K., has died aged 100.
